Chiru’s empty seat is the Prime Spot for old actresses
No amount of publicity seems to be enough for film stars. Upon their arrival, when Chiru and wife Surekha sat on a three-seated sofa, the first to take her seat beside them was Jayaprada. However, when she was called on to the dais to express her views, her seat was instantly occupied by Radhika.
For a while, it seemed to be like a game of musical chairs! Interestingly, after finishing her speech, Jayaprada found herself another seat elsewhere. But Radhika ensured to reserve her place beside Chiru’s sofa after her own ‘extended’ speech, because by then, even superstar Amitabh Bachchan was sitting beside Chiru.
It’s a different matter that the television cameras chose to focus only on Chiru and Amitabh, ignoring the others beside them!
