Review
Yuvaratna Balakrishna’s VeeraBhadra may bring good cheers into the lives of BalaKrishna fans, but not for others. It has got a good enough family oriented story. While most of the first half moves around sister sentiment, the second half moves around the character Murali Krishna played by Bala Krishna.
Definitely it looks neither like his super-hit sister sentimental movie Muddula Mamayya nor like his powerful Narasimha Naidu. The director tried to mix both things the sister sentiment and also powerfulness but there is the problem, he lost the control over the pace of the film.
Except the hero’s solo song, the Tanusree’s first song and sister’s sentimental song all others are okay. Those three songs are good and will sure reach the mass.
Comedy is in fact weak here. The flick has got all the comedy kings like Brahmanandam, Venumadhav, Kondavalasa, Kovai Sarala, A.V.S etc. Neither they have a separate track nor best comic sequences.
Peter Haynes is the action director. But this flick has nothing like a memorable fight sequence. There is a chase sequence which has created lot of hype. After watching the movie everyone feels that it’s just a hype.
Overall this flick is okay as it has lot of sentimental scenes and dialogues in the first half, the second may reach the fans but not others. The story is okay but narrated confusingly.
Synopsis
Muralikrishna’s (Bala Krishna)
grand father asks to kill Murali Krishna when he takes birth. The servant instead of killing him gives to a drunker (Prakash Raj). The drunker brings him up. The complete drunker family likes Murali Krishna just because he brings money into their family.
Time passes. The old man realizes his mistake. And keeps looking for his grand son. Peddiraju (Siyaji Shide) a distant relative to the old man kills the old man by the time Murali Krishna reaches his grand father. Grand father passes way after keeping Mallika into her brother Muralikrishna’s hand.
The rest of the story is how the brother takes care of his sister and how he finishes Peddi Raju.
Artistic Performances:
Bala Krishna
is excellent as usual in his emotional dialogues and in the sentimental scenes. There are two scenes in which his performance reached peak. One is the scene in which he comes to say sorry to Malathi (played by Tanusree Dutta) and the other is the scene in which he comes and warns Peddiraju. The dialogues are very punching, powerful and emotional.
Sada plays Astalakshmi, the president of the apartments in which the hero stays along with his sister. She performed well but her matching with Bala Krishna looks odd.
Tanusree Dutta is the lead heroin but her scope is limited and glamorous. In the complete first half she has got only one scene and one song sequence . As a glamorous girl she performed brilliantly but as performance wise she is okay.
Siyaji Shinde is excellent. He played Peddiraju, a rich, egoistic and powerful character.Siyaji Shinde potrayed the character so naturally,
Prakash Raj plays drunker and a man who is in thirst of money. Exactly the similar character he played in Prabhas starrar Varsham. Like in Varsham here too he steals the show with his performance.
All others Brahmanandam, Venu Madhav, Kovai Sarala and etc are good. They are not having good scope but okay they make us laugh here and there especially the trio Brahmanandam, Venu Madhav and Kovai Sarala.
